Meet Anne-Sophie Michas

Anne-Sophie’s work is shaped by a life lived between cultures, languages and landscapes.

With French and Greek-American roots, Anne-Sophie grew up in New York, lived in Italy, and is now based in France. Her international career spans events, food, and hospitality, with a focus on gathering people — around a table, in a place, and through shared experience.

A deep appreciation for literature, travel, and the natural world informs her sensitivity to atmosphere and the emotional experience of a setting, and continues to shape how she approaches her work.

Anne-Sophie has worked with New York’s leading hospitality groups, including Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group and Chef Andrew Carmellini’s NoHo Hospitality Group, where she joined the opening team as Director of Events & Catering at The Fifth Avenue Hotel in Manhattan.

While based in Rome, she produced high-end, high-touch corporate events internationally. Across settings, cultures and countries,  from intimate dinners to large-scale multi-day events, she observed how thoughtfully bringing people together can create a sense of belonging where none existed before.

This belief continues to guide her work: that meaningful experiences can foster connection, deepen identity, and create community.

Anne-Sophie holds a Master’s degree in Food & Beverage Management from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy. She speaks French, Italian, and Spanish. Founder’s Letter is the first project under The Correspondence Studio.

Founder’s Letters is rooted in Anne-Sophie’s instinct, craft and joy: helping founders articulate the character of their place — what they offer, what they stand for, and who they bring together.
